Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 2026  ·  Worth Fixing

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking a video diagnosis with Worth Fixing. By completing a booking and making payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

1. About us

You can contact us at support@worthfixing.co.uk.

2. Our service

Worth Fixing provides remote video appliance diagnosis. For a flat fee of £29, a qualified appliance engineer will join you on a video call of approximately 20 minutes to assess the fault you have described and provide a verbal verdict.

Our service is a diagnosis only. We do not carry out physical repairs. We do not attend your property. Our engineer will tell you what is wrong with the appliance and what the options are — including whether repair is economical — but any repair, parts purchase, or further action is carried out entirely at your own discretion and risk.

We do not diagnose gas appliances remotely under any circumstances. This includes gas ovens, gas hobs, and all-gas cookers. If you book a diagnosis for a gas appliance, you will be refunded in full.

3. Booking and payment

Bookings are made through our online booking system. Payment of £29 is taken at the time of booking via our payment processor (Stripe) . Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been successfully processed.

By completing the booking process you confirm that all information provided — including the appliance type, brand, postcode and fault description — is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Inaccurate information may affect the quality of the diagnosis.

4. Refund policy

If we cannot reach a diagnosis: If our engineer is genuinely unable to identify the fault or reach a clear verdict during the call, you will receive a full refund of £29.

If you dispute our diagnosis: If you believe our diagnosis was incorrect, you are entitled to obtain a second opinion from another qualified appliance engineer or repair firm. If that second opinion confirms that our diagnosis was wrong, contact us at support@worthfixing.co.uk within 14 days of the original call with evidence of the alternative diagnosis. We will review the evidence and, where the error is clear, issue a full refund.

Customer no-shows: If you fail to join the video call at the booked time without cancelling in advance, no refund will be issued. The £29 fee is forfeited.

Cancellations by you: If you cancel your booking before the scheduled call time, a refund will be issued provided at least 2 hours' notice is given. Cancellations with less than 2 hours' notice will not be refunded.

Cancellations by us: If we need to cancel or reschedule your booking for any reason, you will be offered an alternative slot or a full refund.

5. Optional parts sourcing service

Where a diagnosis identifies that a specific part is required, we offer an optional parts sourcing service for a flat fee of £22. This service covers the identification and sourcing of the relevant part. The parts sourcing fee is separate from and in addition to the £29 diagnosis fee. You are under no obligation to use this service — you are free to take the part information provided during the call and source the part yourself.

6. Liability

Our diagnosis is provided in good faith based on what can be observed remotely during a video call. We cannot physically inspect the appliance and our verdict is therefore based on the information available to us at the time.

Any repair attempt made following our diagnosis is carried out entirely at your own risk. Worth Fixing accepts no liability for damage to the appliance, property, or injury to any person arising from a repair attempt made following our advice.

We strongly recommend that any electrical repair is carried out by a qualified person. If you are in any doubt about carrying out a repair safely, please engage a qualified engineer.

Our total liability to you in connection with these terms and your use of our service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that booking, being £29.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, design, and code, is the property of Worth Fixing and may not be reproduced without our written consent.

8. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our service following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Contact

If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us at support@worthfixing.co.uk.
